Many centuries back only yogis and ascetics were able to gain the benefits of yoga. They received its benefits undergoing severe hardships by being in jungles, rocks, caves and the more fortunate, in temples. These important benefits of yoga are now available to ordinary people because many gurus and experienced persons are willingly to offer their services in this regard. The qualified gurus or teachers now teach kriya yoga or isha kriya to beginners because everyone can easily follow this system of yoga even at home.

Understanding what is yoga the concept and method would encourage everyone to learn it. Yoga is a series of postures or poses in relation to meditation. It teaches followers how to calm the mind and its emotions towards better spiritual development. The beginner’s yoga classes do not initiate vigorous activities and postures. They first initiate students to follow a series of kriya yoga, which mostly involves mind control or calming emotions.
